Another important objective of Pakistan’s foreign policy is economic development. Because economic development is the process that effects not only the economic relations but Social, Political and military relations also. In order to raise the standard of living of the people of Pakistan. And also to secure a place among the industrialized nations, Pakistan has attached great importance for trade and other economic relations with the developed countries. As well as with the developing countries on bilateral basis. Pakistan has requested and received economic and financial assistance from the western countries. Particularly from the United States and the financial institutions like the IMP and IBRD.
